The Journey Begins

On Tuesday August 10th 2009 I began my most recent diet. As an overweight woman it seems like I've been on one diet or another for most of my life. For the last two years I have been trying to lose weight by working out and trying to cut unhealthy things out of my diet. After initially losing 15 lbs, I plateaued. I began running and rock climbing, and while I was certainly in better shape, I didn't lose a pound. Finally I decided that I had to find a real diet that works for me.

On August 10th I began the Smart for Life Cookie Diet. I bought 5 weeks worth of cookies for $270. The diet requires me to eat 6 cookies a day, every day. I am also allowed two meals. These meals consist of 6 oz of protein and 2 servings of vegetables. I cannot eat beef, pork, bread, pasta, rice, fruit, or... anything fun. I cannot eat salt. I knew that in order to survive this diet I would have to get very, very creative. I will post the recipes and tricks that I have discovered and created thus far.
